Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A fire occurred in the Almazar district of Tashkent at the site of the under-construction Center of Islamic Civilization.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the report of the fire was received at 11:11. The blaze broke out during the installation of insulation materials on the roof due to a violation of technological procedures.

The fire was contained at 11:32 and fully extinguished by 11:34. As a result of the incident, insulation materials covering an area of 19 square meters were destroyed.

No civilians were injured, the interior of the building was not damaged, and there were no valuable exhibits inside the premises at the time of the fire.

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov arrived at the scene following the incident.
