Fire at Aviator Shopping Complex in Tashkent Extinguished in Under 90 Minutes

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A fire at the Aviator shopping complex in Tashkent was fully extinguished in less than an hour and a half, with no casualties reported, the city’s emergency services stated.

The fire broke out at the complex on Parkent Yoli Street in the Yashnabad district on 31 January at 15:47. Fire and rescue units arrived at the scene six minutes later, at 15:53.

All visitors and staff inside the building were evacuated as a priority.

The fire was brought under control by 16:50 and completely extinguished by 17:17. Firefighting operations were conducted under the supervision of the Minister of Emergency Situations.

Preliminary reports indicate that no one was injured in the incident. Specialists are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the material damage.
