Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 13 August at 12:58, the Unified Dispatch Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report of a fire at an auto gas-filling station located in the “Okkurgan” neighborhood (Jarkishlok settlement) of Shurchin District, Surkhandarya Region.

Preliminary data indicate that during the transfer of fuel from a tanker to a liquefied gas storage tank, a technological process was violated, which led to ignition and the outbreak of a fire.

Eight fire and rescue units arrived at the scene at 13:07. By 13:08, the fire had been contained, and by 13:16, it was completely extinguished.

The causes of the incident and the extent of the damage are currently being determined. Regional and district Ministry of Emergency Situations officials are present at the site.
