Finnish and Uzbek Companies Discuss Expansion of Bilateral Business

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, to Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan organized an informal meeting between business representatives of both countries aimed at strengthening direct contacts and expanding cooperation.

The event brought together over 20 leading Finnish companies, including Wärtsilä, Konecranes, Valmet, Metso, Neste, and Outotec, as well as representatives of innovative enterprises engaged in green energy, digital technologies, mechanical engineering, water purification, and logistics.

From the Uzbek side, participants included companies and organizations such as Ermak Plus, International Beverages Tashkent, Navruz International, ProCab, New Tone School, and TEAM University, representing the industrial, agro-industrial, logistics, and innovation sectors.

During the meeting, participants discussed ways to enhance bilateral trade and economic relations, strengthen investment cooperation, and implement new joint projects. Concrete proposals were presented regarding joint ventures, technology transfer, production localization, and collaboration in green economy, energy, and transport-logistics solutions.

The dialogue highlighted the strong interest of Finnish businesses in the Uzbek market and reaffirmed the mutual commitment of both sides to further develop Uzbekistan’s industrial, innovation, and export potential.
