Fifth patient with COVID-19 dies in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The fifth patient died on Saturday from complications associated with coronavirus. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

A 77-year-old woman passed away. She was quarantined on 7 April. On the same day, a coronavirus was discovered in her.

The woman suffered from chronic bronchitis, atelectasis of the right lung and hypertension.

Despite the efforts of doctors, she died after a severe course of bilateral bronchopneumonia, acute respiratory failure, and pulmonary edema.
