FIFA Unveils Official Match Ball for 2026 World Cup — Trionda

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Adidas has unveiled the official match ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, named Trionda.

For the first time in history, the tournament will take place across three countries — Canada, Mexico, and the United States, and this event is symbolized in the new ball design.

The name Trionda, meaning “three waves” in Spanish, reflects the unity of the three host nations. Its design incorporates the red, green, and blue colors of the national flags of Canada, Mexico, and the USA, along with gold elements reminiscent of the FIFA World Cup trophy.

The ball’s geometry features a new four-panel structure with deep seams, creating a wave-like effect and ensuring maximum stability in flight.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino described Trionda as a “work of art,” noting that the ball embodies the passion and spirit of the three host nations. Its innovative design and symbolism, he said, will make it a central part of the football celebration.

Trionda also includes a special textured surface for better grip even in rainy conditions and a motion sensor operating at 500 Hz, which tracks the ball’s trajectory in real time and transmits data to the VAR system, helping referees make more accurate decisions on contentious moments, including offside calls.

The ball is set to become a key symbol of the upcoming World Cup, uniting three countries and millions of fans worldwide.
