FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem Arrives in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), Mohammed Ben Sulayem, has arrived in Tashkent to participate in the FIA General Assembly and the year-end FIA Awards ceremony.

Upon his arrival, the high-ranking guest was welcomed by representatives of the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee, and the National Federation of Motorsport and Karting of Uzbekistan.

In the coming days, the capital will host the FIA General Assembly and the FIA Awards ceremony — one of the key events in global motorsport.

During his visit to the Ministry of Sports, Sulayem met with participants of the Girls on Track project, highlighting the importance of initiatives aimed at expanding women’s participation in motorsport.

The parties also held bilateral talks, during which they discussed preparations for upcoming events and prospects for expanding cooperation between the FIA and Uzbekistan.

As a result of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Sports and the FIA under the United Against Online Abuse project, aimed at combating online abuse.
