FIA General Assembly Week Opens in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The opening ceremony of the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) General Assembly Week was held at the Uzbekistan International Forum Palace.

The event was attended by FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, officials from the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, and representatives of various FIA departments.

Speaking on behalf of the country, Minister of Sports Adkham Ikramov welcomed the guests and highlighted the extensive reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan’s sports sector. In turn, Mohammed Ben Sulayem emphasized the significance of hosting the FIA General Assembly Week in Uzbekistan, noting that this is the first time the event is held in the Central Asian region.

During the ceremony, the FIA President presented awards to teams and organizations that demonstrated outstanding activity and achieved notable results across various motorsport disciplines over the past year.
