Festive fireworks light up night sky as Uzbekistan celebrates Independence Day

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Festive fireworks appear in the night sky of Tashkent on 1 September as Uzbekistan celebrated the 28th anniversary of Independence.

Several thousands of residents and guests of the capital came to the People’s Friendship Square in Tashkent to watch the fireworks.

The fireworks took place from 21:00 to 21:09. The khokimiyat of Tashkent said that “Tashkent citizens will be pleased with the highest and most beautiful salute in our history.

The height of the salute was 350 meters, within nine minutes 2,723 multi-colored lights broke out. They fired in one gulp from 80 installations located behind the Palace of Friendship of Peoples.

China Liuyang Jeeton Fireworks Group sponsored the show.
