Ferrous metallurgy industry produces goods for 2.07 trln. soums in 2015

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, share of the industry in total industrial production of Uzbekistan made up 2.3% in 2015.

Enterprises of Tashkent region (47.7% of total production of the industry) and Tashkent city (45.1%) produced the most volume of ferrous metallurgy products.

The volume of products of ferrous metallurgy, produced by small businesses, increased by 56.8% year-on-year in 2015. The share of small businesses in total volume of produced goods in the industry made up 20.2%.

According to the committee, currently there are 536 enterprises of ferrous metallurgy in Uzbekistan, of which 299 companies engaged in the production of metal products, 99 enterprises - production of refractory products, 54 enterprises - production of ferrous metals. During the reporting year, some 44 new enterprises were registered in the industry.
