Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Governor of Ferghana region, Khairullo Bozorov, met with a delegation from the Republic of Korea led by KICC President Young Won Shin to discuss prospective projects in the green economy sector.

The discussions focused on a project to construct a generation plant designed to produce heat and electricity from agricultural waste, highlighting the potential for sustainable energy development in the region.

KICC is an international South Korean research and consulting organization specializing in climate change, energy efficiency, and sustainable development. The company works on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, advancing the green economy, and implementing international environmental projects in cooperation with governments.

During the dialogue, both sides explored opportunities for expanding collaboration, leveraging KICC’s international expertise. The Governor of Ferghana region emphasized the local administration’s readiness to provide comprehensive support for promising projects and underlined the importance of organizing work efficiently with a clear plan.

By the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on key directions for further cooperation in sustainable development and the implementation of green technologies.
