Ferghana Region Governor Discusses Project to Produce Electronic Boards and Charging Devices with Korean Investors
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Khayrullo Bozorov, Governor of Ferghana Region, met with Mr. Koo Gi Do, head of the South Korean company AHA Co., Ltd.
The meeting focused on the progress of a pilot project to manufacture modern electronic boards and charging devices for electric vehicles in the “Ecoshahar” zone of Ferghana city, as well as prospects for further cooperation. The company’s total investment in the project amounts to US$20 million.
The new enterprise will locally produce interactive flat panel displays (IFPDs), electric vehicle chargers, medical equipment, and other types of products for both domestic and export markets. Operations are expected to begin next year, and once the facility reaches full capacity, it will create over 200 new jobs. Training courses for local specialists are also planned. In the second phase of the project, the company intends to launch TV production.
During the meeting, it was noted that Korean investors’ interest in Ferghana Region continues to grow. The parties discussed organizing a business forum as part of the region’s upcoming delegation visit to South Korea in October, as well as the potential signing of new agreements in education, information technology, artificial intelligence, and other sectors.
Khayrullo Bozorov reaffirmed his commitment to providing full support for foreign investors’ initiatives and assured that favorable conditions would be created for the implementation of AHA Co., Ltd’s project. The parties also identified key areas for future cooperation and agreed on practical steps for their execution.
