Ferghana Region and CMIE Discuss 2–5 GW Wind Energy Project

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — First Deputy Hokim of Ferghana Region Mirzokhid Ubaydullaev held a meeting with Wang Shirong, Chairman of the Board of the Chinese company China Machinery International Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd.

During the talks, the parties discussed the implementation of a wind energy project with a capacity of 2–5 GW in the territory of Ferghana Region.

The meeting highlighted the dynamic development of Uzbek–Chinese relations and the active participation of Chinese investors in several regional projects.

Special attention was paid to creating favorable conditions for foreign investors and expanding opportunities for the implementation of new initiatives.

In addition, company representatives presented information about their organization’s activities, followed by a detailed discussion of the technical and organizational aspects of the wind energy project and agreement on cooperation measures to ensure its successful realization.
