Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ferghana-Gomel business forum was held at the Regional Information and Library Center in Ferghana, aimed at enhancing economic cooperation between Ferghana Region of Uzbekistan and Gomel Region of Belarus.

The event brought together business representatives from both countries, leaders of chambers of commerce and industry, major entrepreneurs, and specialized organizations.

The forum focused on strengthening mutually beneficial ties, expanding opportunities for joint projects, and increasing trade and economic interaction.

Ferghana Region’s hokim, Khayrullo Bozorov, expressed gratitude to the delegation led by Gomel Regional Executive Committee Chairman Ivan Krupko, who visited the region on a working trip. He emphasized that the forum reflects the growing strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Belarus, noting Krupko’s contribution to bilateral relations.

By the end of 2025, trade turnover between Ferghana Region and Belarusian regions reached US$42 million. Currently, 12 joint ventures operate in the region, and investment projects involving Belarusian capital are successfully implemented, indicating strong trust between business communities.

During the forum, participants signed a Cooperation Roadmap for 2026–2027 and an agreement between regional chambers of commerce to promote new cooperative projects, expand mutual trade, and boost investment activity.

Chairman Ivan Krupko stressed that bilateral relations continue to develop within a strategic partnership framework, and close ties with Ferghana Region enhance collaboration. Video materials showcased the regions’ industrial potential, investment attractiveness, and tourism opportunities.

Deputy hokim Nuriddin Mamadzhonov presented Ferghana’s investment and export potential, while leaders of major Gomel companies introduced their projects. The forum concluded with B2B meetings, resulting in concrete agreements for joint investment and cooperative initiatives.
