Ferghana Delegation Holds Talks with Turkish Business Leaders
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Ferghana Region, led by Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov, is on a working visit to the Republic of Türkiye.
The main objective of the visit is to expand interregional cooperation in investment, trade, economic, and social spheres.
In recent years, the friendship, mutual trust, and partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye have reached a qualitatively new level, steadily developing across all areas. The ties between regions of the two countries are strengthening, with joint projects being implemented in industry, business, and social sectors.
In this context, the Ferghana delegation’s visit to Türkiye carries particular significance, opening new opportunities for attracting Turkish investments and expanding business cooperation.
During the visit, Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov held a series of meetings in Istanbul with representatives of more than ten Turkish companies and business circles. The negotiations were conducted in a constructive atmosphere and concluded with several practical agreements.
Special attention was paid to developing the region’s jewelry industry. In a meeting with Mehmet Ozkan, head of GOLD MARKET AND WHOLESALE PROJECT, the parties discussed prospects for implementing a joint investment project in Ferghana.
GOLD MARKET AND WHOLESALE PROJECT, led by Mehmet Ozkan, is among the leading companies in Türkiye’s jewelry sector. It was the first in the country to establish white gold production and, as early as 1999, introduced German CNC equipment, marking a technological breakthrough for the Turkish jewelry industry and aligning it with international standards. The company also opened Türkiye’s largest wedding ring store and built a professional team to manage the Gold Market project. Today, it collaborates with over 950 manufacturers and workshops, ensuring high-quality products at competitive prices.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to launch a joint jewelry project in Ferghana.
Additionally, during private meetings with executives of leading Turkish companies, the delegation explored partnership opportunities in construction, education, healthcare, and tourism. Notably, discussions with Enes Kavalci, head of Seda Metal Aluminium Facade Systems, focused on establishing a production facility for aluminum profile products in Ferghana.
Cooperation with TURSAB, the Turkish association uniting around 13,000 travel companies, was also discussed, alongside the development of joint tourism projects and collaboration with Belgin Tadbirkori in the healthcare sector.
The visit concluded with agreements to further strengthen interregional ties and implement joint projects based on advanced international experience and mutual interest.
