Fed Cup: Uzbekistan loses to Japan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan lost to Japan 3-0 in the promotional play-off match in the Asia/Oceania Zone Group I event of Fed Cup on Saturday, 5 February 2011.

Sabina Sharipova was beatedn by Junri Namigate – 4/6 and 5/7, while Nigina Abduraimov lost to Ayumi Morati – 4/6 and 1/6.

In the pairs match, Nigina Abduraimov and Albina Habibullina retired at the score 1/2 to grant 3-0 win to Japan.

Second-seeded Japan reserved a slot at the Fed Cup World Group II Playoffs in April.
