Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Starting from 30 September, in the Namangan, Andijan and Ferghana regions, within the framework of cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the UNDP project “Improving Sustainability and Adaptation of Farmers of the Ferghana Valley to Climate Change”, seminars on the topic: “Modern technologies for cultivation of grapes ” will be held for representatives of vineyard farms, horticultural farms and households growing grapes.
The climate of Uzbekistan allows to grow excellent grapes of various varieties and species, which are famous for their excellent taste. For many centuries, grapes have been a favorite treat, regardless of whether it is a freshly picked bunch or dried raisins. In addition, grapes have their own price attractiveness and demand in the export market.
Today, manufacturers are well aware that for the export of grape products for export, as well as for domestic consumption, it is necessary to produce high-quality competitive products with the least use of chemicals. In this regard, in the framework of this seminar, participants will be able to familiarize themselves with such important issues of viticulture as: features of creating gardens with seedlings of table and wine varieties, both on small plots and on an industrial scale, modern approaches to pruning, irrigating vineyards, seasonal top dressing and preparing the garden for winter.

Winegrowers will be able to learn in detail about the causes of diseases, the spread of pests, as well as receive detailed information about effective biological control methods and other important agrotechnical measures that have successfully established themselves in gardeners. So, for example, the participants will be able in practice to get advice on the preparation of Bordeaux mixture and lime-sulfur broth (Iso).
