Fares for public transport in Tashkent increases by 25%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Toshshahartranshizmat joint stock company (Tashkent city Transport Service) increased fares for public transport in Tashkent from 15 June 2014.

The company said that the fares in public transport grew by 25% from 800 soums to 1,000 soums from 15 June 2014.

According to the company, the prices rose due to growth of expenses to fuel and lubricant materials, as well as spare parts for buses.

New tariffs are set for city buses, trams and underground, as well as suburban buses within the city, the compnany said.
