FAO chief holds talks with Uzbek Prime Minister

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Director-General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Jose Graziano da Silva held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev.

Jose Graziano da Silva arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the international conference "About main food programme implementation of reserves in Uzbekistan".

During the negotiations, the sides discussed issues of developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and the FAO.

Uzbekistan became member of FAO in 2001. Since 2001, eight national and regional projects were implemented in Uzbekistan and currently five projects are underway.
