Readers of the magazine learned that Uzbekistan is implementing large-scale reforms in the economy, which have become consistent and sustainable. Against the general background of increased domestic production, high investment activity, the intensification of market processes continues.
This is expressed in a significant increase in attracting foreign investment and a stable increase in production volumes. Currently, a number of investment projects are planned in the fuel and energy sector, including projects for the development of deposits and geological exploration with the participation of a number of foreign companies organizing the production of polyethylene and polypropylene.
A large share of investment projects belongs to the development of light industry, where tens of thousands of new jobs are created. The industry actively operates enterprises created with the participation of investors from Germany, South Korea, Turkey, the USA, India, Singapore and other countries.
It is emphasized that foreign companies, including those from Poland, are showing increasing interest in Uzbek manufacturers of textile products. Exports of textile products, including fabrics, from Uzbekistan now amount to over US$1 billion. Finished products are sold in more than 60 countries. By 2021, it is planned to increase exports to US$2 billion.
