Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — By presidential decree, E’zozkhan Karimova has been appointed Minister of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan. Her candidacy was previously approved by deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

Prior to her new appointment, Karimova served as Rector of the Nizami National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan. She worked as Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education. Earlier, she worked as an adviser to the Director of the Agency for Specialized Schools on enhancing the effectiveness of spiritual and educational activities and ensuring compliance with state language legislation.

In 2021, Karimova headed the department of the Agency for the Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools. From 2021 to 2023, she was an adviser to the Director of the Agency for Presidential Educational Institutions, and in 2023–2024, she served as Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work at New Uzbekistan University.

Karimova succeeds Hilola Umarova, who in mid-July 2025 was appointed Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration for Education System Reform.
