External debt of Uzbekistan not exceeds 16% to GDP

The size of aggregate debt of Uzbekistan does not exceed 16% to GDP, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov said at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.
The session summed up results of social-economic development of Uzbekistan for 2012 and approved main perspectives of economic programme for 2013.
At the session, Uzbek President stated that as of 1 January 2013 the size of aggregate external debt of Uzbekistan does not exceed 16% to GDP.
He said that in line with international criteria it is classified as "less than moderate" debt.
