Exports from SEZ Enterprises Exceed 9 Trillion Soums, IT Park Boosts Service Exports by US$273 Million
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 January 2026, Uzbekistan had 31 special economic zones (SEZs), 423 small industrial zones, 32 technoparks, and 361 clusters, uniting enterprises with participant status.
Within the SEZs, 1,127 enterprises were operating; small industrial zones hosted 3,272 enterprises; technoparks had 3,803; and clusters included 392 enterprises.
According to the National Statistics Committee, the total industrial output of enterprises within SEZs reached 61.82 trillion soums. Enterprises in small industrial zones produced 18.09 trillion soums, technoparks 2.49 trillion soums, and clusters 37.02 trillion soums. The largest contribution to industrial production came from SEZs, where output grew by 39.9% compared to the previous year. For comparison, in January–December 2024, SEZ output was 44.18 trillion soums; small industrial zones produced 15.29 trillion soums, technoparks 1.38 trillion soums, and clusters 36.37 trillion soums.
Construction work carried out by enterprises themselves also showed significant growth. In SEZs, it totaled 246.5 billion soums; in small industrial zones, 777 billion soums; in technoparks, 1.34 trillion soums; and in clusters, 28.2 billion soums. The most notable increase was observed in technoparks, where construction volumes grew 2.4 times year-on-year.
Investments in fixed capital from all sources reached 15.49 trillion soums in SEZ enterprises, 1.32 trillion soums in small industrial zones, 921.7 billion soums in technoparks, and 3.36 trillion soums in clusters.
Financial results showed mixed trends. Pre-tax profits amounted to 364.2 billion soums in SEZs, 836 billion soums in small industrial zones, and 8.43 trillion soums in technoparks, while clusters recorded a loss of 4.5 billion soums. A year earlier, pre-tax profits were 1.74 trillion soums in SEZs, 659.3 billion soums in small industrial zones, and 5.36 trillion soums in technoparks; cluster losses then totaled 612.6 billion soums.
As of early 2026, accounts receivable amounted to 22.82 trillion soums in SEZs, 1.91 trillion soums in small industrial zones, 5.4 trillion soums in technoparks, and 4.71 trillion soums in clusters. Corresponding accounts payable reached 27.92 trillion, 2.81 trillion, 5.44 trillion, and 6.44 trillion soums.
Exports of industrial products and services beyond Uzbekistan totaled 9.29 trillion soums from SEZ enterprises, 4.54 trillion soums from small industrial zones, 306.6 billion soums from technoparks, and 3.61 trillion soums from clusters.
The IT Park also demonstrated strong performance. In January–December 2025, exports of services by IT Park residents reached US$728.4 million, increasing by US$273.5 million compared to the previous year. Imports of services totaled US$247.8 million. Market services provided by IT Park participants were valued at 32.12 trillion soums, up 12.56 trillion soums year-on-year. Investments in fixed capital by IT Park residents from all funding sources reached 599.4 billion soums, showing a growth of 270.3 billion soums compared to 2024.
