Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Uzbekneftegaz jointly with the South Korean company Knoc Fergana operating carries out exploration work at the Dekhkanabad and Tashkurgan investment blocks. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

As part of the project, the following activities were completed:

- reformatting of old seismic data in the amount of 1036.95 linear km (plan 600 linear km);

- re-processing of old seismic data in the amount of 802.3 linear km (plan 600 linear km);

- the geological study and interpretation of materials of remote sensing of the Dekhkanabad and Tashkurgan blocks and adjacent sections was completed;

- 2D seismic work was carried out in the amount of 506.4 linear km (plan 500 linear km) and related works (environmental monitoring, quality control over the execution of work).

Currently, work is underway on the processing and interpretation of new 2D seismic data in the amount of 500 linear km, as well as basin modeling within the Dekhkanabad and Tashkurgan investment blocks of the South-West Gissar region of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
