Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 27 July, the National Exhibition “MADE IN UZBEKISTAN” began its activities in the exhibition hall of the Lenpoligrafmash Congress Center in St. Petersburg.
The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg.
The “MADE IN UZBEKISTAN” project, held in the “Road show” format in the cities of the Russian Federation, provides a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the scientific and production potential of our republic, the richest cultural and historical heritage, directly negotiate with representatives of government agencies and the business community, conclude profitable contracts.
With a welcoming speech, the exhibition was opened by the head of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg Andrey Khlutkov and Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg Alisher Babaev.
According to the organizers, the national exhibition of export products "MADE IN UZBEKISTAN" geography and increase in export volumes, stimulation of the production of high-quality and competitive export-oriented products, wide familiarization of exhibition visitors with the scientific and production potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan, presentation of the country's vast opportunities for investment projects, demonstration of the richest cultural and historical heritage and the development of tourism in Uzbekistan.
The exhibition presents products of the construction, electrical, food industries of Uzbekistan (confectionery, bakery products, national oriental sweets, fresh and processed fruits and vegetables, juices, drinks, melons, wine and vodka products), the textile industry (cotton fabrics, fabrics from natural silk , knitwear, garments, a collection of highly artistic products), the leather and footwear industry (men's, women's and children's leather shoes, bags, leather and haberdashery products), the pharmaceutical industry (medicines and drugs, medical products).
Within the framework of "MADE IN UZBEKISTAN" at the stand of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the section of folk applied art and the tourism potential of the republic was widely demonstrated.
Also, for the productive implementation of tasks at the exhibition, business meetings, presentations, press conferences and other events are expected with the participation of heads of companies, associations, agencies, business media and leading experts.
The exhibition will run until 29 July 2021.
