Eurocement Group and Uzstroymaterialy sign cooperation memorandum

Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Eurocement Group Filaret Galchev and Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev signed the document.

Within the document, Uzbekistan and Eurocement Group will implement a project on construction of new plant on production of cement with dry method on the base of Akhangarancement. The capacity of the plant will be 6,200 tonnes of clinker a day or 2.4 million tonnes of Portland cement a year.

In the result of project implementation, the capacity of cement assets of Eurocement Group in Uzbekistan will exceed 4 million tonnes.

Eurocement Group plans to organize production of magnesian refractory bricks and heat-insulating materials.

According to the company, total volume of investments to these projects in Uzbekistan evaluated at US$220 million.

The document envisages cooperation in the field of modernization of the existing production of reinforced concrete products and organization of production of new export-oriented building materials.

Filaret Galchev said that construction of new plant at Akhangarancement will allow increase efficiency of the enterprise and introduce new technological solutions and advanced international experience.
