EU envoy in Uzbekistan to hold Open Doors Day

Europe Day is an annual celebration of peace and unity in Europe. There are two separate designations of Europe Day: 5 May for the Council of Europe, and 9 May for the European Union (EU).

Head of the Delegation of the European Union in Uzbekistan Ambassador Yuri Sterk and his spouse Radona, as well as other employees of the EU Delegation in Tashkent will talks with the participants on the European Union, history of the Europe Day, main issues and problems of the European integration, aspirations and expectations of European citizens, main areas of cooperation between the EU and Uzbekistan.

The participants can also familiarize with interesting photo exhibition about activities of the European Parliament, which is one of the key institutions of the European Union. Small citizens of Uzbekistan will have chance to familiarize with information materials.
