Epsilon Development Company receives a new flow of gas in Khujum field

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Epsilon Development Company received a new gas inflow from the Khujum field (Kultak-Kamashinsky investment block). This was reported by the press service of the company.

In 2009, two exploration wells were drilled in the Khujum structure. According to the test results, a non-industrial gas flow was obtained and the wells were suspended.

On 25 March 2019, the company began the re-operation of well No. 2 and began an overhaul.

On 6 April 2019, at well No. 2 of Khujum, perforation was carried out in the range of 3660-3718 meters. After acid treatment of the well, industrial flow of natural gas was obtained in a volume of about 145,000-180,000 cubic meters per day.

The gas supplied from the field via newly constructed 5.1 km gas pipeline and connected to Nazarkuduk gas pipeline to Shurtanneftegaz.

In order to determine the size limits and approve reserves at this hydrocarbon field, new wells will be drilled.
