Entrepreneurs Discuss Measures to Boost Exports and Implement Joint Projects in Central Asia with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 9 February, under the leadership of Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov, an open dialogue was held with entrepreneurs conducting business with Central Asian countries.
The event brought together over 30 representatives of companies actively operating in the regional market.
During the meeting, participants discussed measures to increase export supplies, implement joint investment projects, and expand the presence of Uzbek companies in neighboring markets.
The business community highlighted practical challenges in export activities, including the operation of border crossing points, optimization of transport costs, and improvement of tools supporting exporters.
Emphasis was placed on the need for a coordinated approach and the use of existing bilateral mechanisms to ensure stable supply chains.
Entrepreneurs expressed their readiness to establish joint ventures in Central Asian countries, primarily in the light industry and construction materials sectors, noting the importance of financial instruments and joint development funds.
According to the results of 2025, Uzbekistan’s mutual trade turnover with Central Asian countries amounted to US$8,284.6 million, reflecting a 15.2% increase compared to the previous year.
Each proposed initiative was assigned a specific Ministry official, responsible for the timely and high-quality execution of the tasks.
