Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January-April 2021, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 124.3 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production by the same period in 2020 amounted to 106.6%, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (80.8%), the volume of production of which amounted to 100.4 trillion soums.
The main factors of growth in the physical volume of industrial production were its increase in mining enterprises - by 1.8%, manufacturing - by 7.7%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 11.8%, in water supply, sewerage, collection and disposal of waste - by 3.9%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-April 2021 amounted to 12.7 trillion soums, or 10.2% of the total industry.
Manufacturing enterprises in January-April 2021 produced goods for 100.4 trillion soums, or 80.8% of the total industry.
In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries amounted to 2.5% (1.7% in January-April 2020), medium-high-tech industries - 19.7% (24.5%), medium-low-tech industries - 40.1% (38.3%) and low-tech - 37.6% (35.5%).
In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, assembly of machinery and equipment, the production of cars, trailers, semitrailers and other finished products amounted to 15.9% (the physical volume index amounted to 98.0% against January-April 2020), the metallurgical industry - 28.7% (111.2%), enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products - 18.9% (120.1%), for the production of food, drinks and tobacco products - 16.3% (107.5%), enterprises for the production of chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 9.6% (113.4%).
In January-April 2021, the republic produced 368.6 thousand tons of motor gasoline (an increase of 0.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2020), 203.6 thousand tons of cotton yarn (15.9%), 54.1 million liters of beer (8.9%) and 598.5 thousand tons of flour from soft wheat and spelled (decrease by 7.9%).
In January-April 2021, 1 268 trucks were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, the volume of production increased by 2.5%).
In January-April 2021, 265 buses were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, there was a decrease in production by 37.5%).
In January-April 2021, 44.9 thousand units of automobile engines were produced in the republic (a decrease by 41.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2020).
In January-April 2021, 173 tractors were produced in the republic (by January-April 2020, the production volume decreased by 62.1%).
In January-April 2021, 283 pieces of rippers and cultivators were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, a decrease in production by 43.7% was recorded).
In the automotive industry in January-April 2021, 18 223 Cobalt cars were produced (-23.1%), 9 279 - Nexia (-63%), 12 047 - Gentra (-32.7%), 17 666 - Damas (+0.6%), 3 823 - Spark (-63.1%) and 3 949 - Labo (+86.4%).
The overhaul of technological equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and to exceed the production figures of the previous year for the production of methyl alcohol (12.6 times by January-April 2020), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (167.2%) and caustic soda (2.0 times). At the same time, there is a decrease in the production of ammonium sulfate (73.4% compared to January-April 2020).
In January-April 2020, the share of production of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 4.8%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, increased by 13.7%.
In January-April 2021, the share of other non-metallic mineral products amounted to 4.7%, the index of the physical volume of production increased by 6.3%, and the volume of production amounted to 4 770.2 billion soums.
If in January-April 2020 the share of food production in the manufacturing industry amounted to 13.4%, and the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, reached 107.2%, then in January-April 2021 the share of food amounted to 13.3%, the index of the physical volume increased by 6.4%, the total production amounted to 13 355.7 billion soums.
At the end of January-April 2020, the share of beverage production in the structure of the processing industry amounted to 2.1%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period of 2019, increased by 5.6%.
In January-April 2021, the share of beverage production was 2.4%, the physical volume index was 121.5%, and the production volume reached 2 378.7 billion soums.
At the end of January-April 2020, the share of the production of textiles in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 12.9%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 118.1%.
In January-April 2021, the share of textile production amounted to 15.0%, the index of the physical volume of their production increased by 22.2%, and the production volume amounted to 15 091.7 billion soums.
If in January-April 2020 the share of clothing production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 3.1%, and the physical volume index was 93.5%, then in January-April 2021 the share of the industry in the manufacturing industry was 3.3%, the index physical volume - 118.5%, production volume reached 3 362.7 billion soums.
In January-April 2020, the share of chemical production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 7.8%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 104.7%.
In January-April 2021, the share of chemical products amounted to 7.9%, the index of physical volume of production increased by 13.4, and the volume of production amounted to 7 979.6 billion soums.
At the end of January-April 2020, the share of coke and product production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 4.8%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period of 2019, increased by 7.0%.
In January-April 2021, the share of coke and refined products production amounted to 2.8%, the physical volume index also decreased by 43.3%, and the production volume amounted to 2 843.9 billion soums.
At the end of January-April 2020, the share of production of vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 12.9%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period of 2019, reached 110.2%.
In January-April 2021, the share of this industry amounted to 8.1%, the physical volume index decreased by 28.4%, and the production volume amounted to 8 168.6 billion soums.
At the end of January-April 2020, the share of the production of rubber and plastic products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 1.7%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, increased by 15.1%.
In January-April 2021, the share of this industry amounted to 1.6%, the physical volume index - 113.5%, production volume – 1 617.6 billion soums.
The volume of products produced by enterprises of power supply, gas supply, steam and air conditioning amounted to 10.1 trillion soums (8.2% of the total industry).
The index of the physical volume of the industry, compared to the corresponding period of 2020, increased by 11.8%.
The volume of products produced by enterprises of water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal amounted to 1.1 trillion soums (0.8% of the total industry).
Compared to the corresponding period of 2020, there was an increase in services for the emptying, cleaning and treatment of cesspools, sedimentation tanks and septic tanks by 32.0%, as well as services for the removal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment - by 51.9%. a decrease in the production of textile waste by 3.2% was recorded.
As a result of measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, the production of consumer goods amounted to 37.8 trillion soums and, in comparison with the corresponding period of 2020, the growth rate reached 105.7%, the share in the total volume of industry was 30.4%.
In the structure of food production, the production of wine and vodka products and beer amounted to 6.4% (6.9% in January-April 2020).
In the structure of consumer goods production in the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (21.9% of the total volume of consumer goods) Andijan (17.2%), Tashkent (11.2%) and Samarkand (9.7%) regions.
The largest growth in consumer goods production was recorded in Jizzakh (121.3% compared to the corresponding period of 2020), Syrdarya (118.9%), Bukhara (118.1%), Samarkand (117.0%) regions and Tashkent city (120.8%), exceeding the national average (105.7%).
In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (22.7% of the total volume of non-food products), Andijan (24.1%), Samarkand (9.3%) and Tashkent (8.2%) regions.

During the reporting period, enterprises with foreign investments produced goods worth 32.1 trillion soums, the share of which in the total production volume amounted to 25.8%.
The change in industrial production was significantly influenced by the growth in the index of the physical volume of industrial production in Kashkadarya (128.9% compared to January-April 2020), Jizzakh (116.7%), Syrdarya (115.7%), Navoi (109.9 %) regions and Tashkent city (112.7%).
In the structure of industrial output of the republic, the largest share falls on enterprises in Tashkent city (17.8% of the republican volume of industry), Navoi (18.1%), Tashkent (17.9%), Andijan (7.6%) and Fergana (5.6%) regions.
The smallest share of industrial production was recorded at the enterprises of Surkhandarya (1.2%) and Jizzakh (1.6%) regions.
Analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the national average (3 589.1 thousand soums) in Navoi (22 136.7 thousand soums), Tashkent (7 467.5 thousand soums), Syrdarya (3 574.1 thousand soums) regions and Tashkent city (8 163.6 thousand soums).
The production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the republic amounted to 1 090.5 thousand soums, including in Tashkent city – 3 061.4 thousand soums, Andijan region – 2 035.8 thousand soums, Tashkent region - 1 419.2 thousand soums.
During the reporting period, small businesses produced goods worth 27.2 trillion soums, the share of which in the total production volume amounted to 21.9%.
In terms of regions, the largest share of small business was observed in Jizzakh (43.0% of the total volume of industry in the region), Samarkand (38.0%), Namangan (40.7%), Fergana (37.9%) and Syrdarya (34.1%) regions.
At the same time, the smallest share of small business was noted in Navoi (5.4%), Tashkent (15.4%), Khorezm (18.0%) and Kashkadarya (19.2%) regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (16.1 %). Analysis of the structure of industrial production in the context of the regions of the republic showed that the low share of production of small businesses in the total volume of industry is explained by the significant volume of production of large industrial enterprises located in these regions.
Today, 87.1 thousand industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 16.1 thousand (18.5% of the total number of operating enterprises) fall on the city of Tashkent, 9.5 thousand (10.9 %) – Fergana, 8.9 thousand (10.2 %) – Tashkent, 8.9 thousand (10.2 %) – Andijan, 7.4 thousand (8.5 %) – Samarkand and 6.9 thousand (7.9 %) – Namangan regions.
In January-April 2021, 7 634 industrial enterprises were newly created in the republic, of which 828 (10.8% of the total number of newly created) accounted for Fergana, 718 (9.4%) - Samarkand, 670 (8.8%) - Namangan, 643 (8.4%) - Kashkadarya region and 837 (11.0%) - Tashkent city.
To date, the largest number of operating industrial enterprises are located in the cities of Andijan (3 215 units), Namangan (2 635 units), Samarkand (1 653 units), Kokand (1 457 units), as well as in the following districts of Tashkent city: Almazar (2 173 units), Chilanzar (1 993 units), Uchtepa (1 896 units), Yunusabad (1 748 units), Shaikhantakhur (1 429 units) and Mirzo-Ulugbek (1 344 units).
As of May 1, 2021, the minimum number of operating industrial enterprises is located in the city of Shirin (60 units), Syrdarya region; Tamdy district (64 units) and Gazgan city (32 units) of Navoi region; Arnasai (87 units) and Yangiabad (70 units) districts of Jizzakh region; Kegeyli (81 units), Kanlykul (70 units), Takhtakupyr (76 units) and Bozatau (36 units) districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan; Bandikhan district (53 units) of Surkhandarya region.
