Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An official delegation from Uzbekistan, led by First Deputy Hokim of Kokand, Ferghana Region, Nemat Normatovich Khamidov, is currently on a working visit to Bashkortostan.
As part of the visit, Kokand-based company R-A-M ORGANIZATION signed a number of agreements for the supply of products from Bashkortostan to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the outcomes of the delegation’s participation in the “Kupets 2.0” festival held in Sterlitamak, as well as activities outlined in the cooperation roadmap between Sterlitamak and Kokand.
“Many years of fruitful cooperation link our regions in various spheres, including industry and agriculture. Bashkortostan plays a key role in Russia’s foreign economic relations with Uzbekistan. The signing of new agreements with the Kokand company marks a new stage in interaction with Uzbek partners,” said Alexander Sheldyaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan and Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation.
The negotiations also covered prospects for future cooperation, including a visit by an official delegation from Bashkortostan to Uzbekistan later this year.
“We are making significant efforts to implement a comprehensive action plan aimed at strengthening economic and commercial interaction between our countries. We are confident that the signing of new agreements will become an important milestone in the development of both cities and will further strengthen bilateral ties,” emphasized Margarita Bolycheva, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
