Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov held a videoconference on further enhancing cooperation with India and China.
The meeting was attended by the heads of ministries, agencies, industry associations, commercial banks, local authorities of regions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Tashkent, as well as the country’s diplomatic missions in India and China.
The agenda of cooperation with India in investment, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian partnership, progress in implementing joint projects and new areas of interaction was considered.
Issues related to the organization and holding of the 13th meeting of Uzbekistan – India Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, as well as a business forum were discussed.
Measures to deepen multifaceted cooperation with China were discussed in a similar format. It was emphasized that against the background of steadily growing indicators of investment partnership and mutual trade, there are currently ample opportunities and significant untapped potential for enhancing the economic partnership between the two states.
Following the meeting, the heads of ministries, agencies, commercial banks, local authorities and diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in India and China were given additional instructions and directives within the framework of fulfilling the assigned tasks.
