Energy supply restored in Syrdarya

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Specialists from the Syrdarya Territorial Electricity Enterprise, together with colleagues from neighboring regions, are working to eliminate damaged power supply due to the breakthrough of the Sardoba reservoir dam and the subsequent flood.

As a result of the floods in Sardoba district, 51 transformers, 10.4 kilometers of overhead lines (OHL) with a voltage of 10.4 kV and 8.1 km of OHL-0.4 kV were damaged. 28 transformers, 7.1 kilometers of VL-10, 6.7 kilometers of VL-0.4 were damaged in Akaltinsky district. 27 transformers, 3.9 kilometers of VL-10 and 2.4 kilometers of VL-0.4 were damaged in the Mirzaabad region.

To eliminate these damages, 214 specialists were involved and 40 pieces of equipment were involved.

Together with employees of the Ferghana, Namangan and Andijan regional energy companies who arrived in Syrdarya region with all the necessary technical means to provide assistance, the specialists of Syrdarya PTES JSC conduct systematic work to restore energy supply around the clock.

Currently, power supply has been restored in 3,182 households.
