Energy Ministers of Turkic Countries Discuss Green Energy and Security in Istanbul
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 December, the fifth meeting of energy ministers of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held in Istanbul.
The event was attended by the heads of energy ministries from Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan, the Secretary-General of the OTS, as well as the foreign ministers of Hungary and Northern Cyprus as observers.
During the meeting, participants noted that, following the initiatives of the leaders of the Turkic countries, cooperation across all sectors, including the development of the fuel and energy complex, is reaching a new level.
The discussion focused on ensuring regional energy security, implementing sustainable energy sources, supporting green energy projects, integrating sectoral networks, and advancing new investment projects.
Following the meeting, it was decided that the sixth meeting of energy ministers of the OTS will be held in Uzbekistan in 2026.
