Energy Minister discusses collaboration with Mitsubishi

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the General Manager of the International Department, Deputy COO of the Mitsubishi Group, Kazuhiro Watanabe.

During the meeting, the practical aspects of the organization of the 15th Uzbek-Japanese Economic Committee were discussed, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

The sides also discussed issues related to new projects, being developed in the energy and oil and gas sectors.

These include, in particular, the construction of modern combined-cycle plants (CCGT) 3 and 4 lines at the Navoi TPP, as well as the creation of service centers for maintenance and service for gas turbines manufactured by Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi also expressed interest in participating in projects for the creation of a gas-chemical CTO cluster and the modernization of the gas transmission system of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
