Emergency Services Carry Out Avalanche Prevention Operations at the Kamchik Pass

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Emergency services are conducting operations to prevent snow avalanches at the Kamchik Pass, the press service of the Ministry reported.

The Minister of Emergency Situations, Azizbek Ikramov, is personally overseeing safety measures at the site.

Personnel and equipment from the State Emergency Service of Uzbekistan are involved in eliminating the potential threat.

At present, specialists are using controlled avalanche release techniques, including firing at the snow cover, to reduce risks to traffic and ensure road safety.
