Emergency Ministry: Gas-Air Explosion Occurs in Residential Building in Bukhara Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 31 January at 08:23, the emergency management department received a report through the “112” system about a gas-air explosion in one of the residential units of a two-story building located on Shurobod Street, in the “Tinchlik” mahalla of Karakul District, Bukhara Region.

Units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other relevant services promptly responded to the scene.

Work is currently underway to eliminate the consequences of the incident.

Preliminary data indicate that the explosion was caused by a gas leak during the use of a gas stove.

Two people sustained injuries and were hospitalized. No fatalities have been reported, according to the Emergency Ministry.
