Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Uzbek Embassy in Benelux countries confirmed media reports that on 3 January 2020, during the performance at the World Christmas Circus show in Amsterdam (Netherlands), acrobats of the duet “Sky Angels”, citizens of Uzbekistan Kristina Vorobyova and Rustem Osmanov fell from a 10-meter height. The performance was interrupted. Both acrobats were hospitalized. According to doctors, the injuries of one of the victims are regarded as very serious.
It is known about Kristina Vorobyeva that she was born in St. Petersburg, and at the age of four she moved with her mother to Uzbekistan. In 2017, she, along with Rustem Osmanov at the international circus festival in Monte Carlo, received the highest circus award - the Golden Clown figurine.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the embassy established and maintains contacts with the authorities and police of the Netherlands on the same day to provide necessary assistance to the injured compatriots.
