Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Some of the priority development areas in the sphere of state procurement include further improvement of the public procurement system, reduction of human factor interference through the widespread implementation of modern information technologies in the process of public procurement.

In this regard, at the initiative of the Ministry of Finance, as an authorized body in the field of public procurement, amendments and additions were made to a number of regulatory documents. In particular:

I. Amendments and supplements to several acts of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan were made according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 15, 2020 No.4678.

Amendments and additions according to the decree are implemented to improve the public procurement system, increase the responsibility of state customers, ensure efficient and timely implementation of investment projects, reduce bureaucratic barriers (to know more about the changes and additions, you can follow the link https://lex.uz/docs/4789222 ).

II. Corresponding changes and additions have been introduced that allow for tenders and competitions to take place in electronic form. These changes are provided in the provision “On the procedure for organizing and conducting state procurement processes” by the order of the Ministry of Finance dated February 24, 2020 No. 7, as well as the provision “On the activities of the operator of the special information portal regarding the organization and conduct of state procurement” by the order of the Ministry of Finance dated February 24, 2020 No. 8 and registered on April 13, 2020 No.3016-3 and No.3015-2 respectively in the Ministry Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan (to get to know more about the amendments and additions you can follow the links: https://lex.uz/pdfs/4791851 , https://lex.uz/docs/4789482 ).
