Electronic book of Alisher Navoi presented at National Library

National Library of Uzbekistan said that the delegation of Uzbekistan visited Great Britain on 19-22 November 2013 to discuss cooperation in various areas, including in education and culture spheres.

Within the visit, the delegation paid a visit to the British Library and familiarized with some books and manuscripts of oriental poets, writers and activists, as well as with book Boburnoma and Zafarnoma.

The British Council handed over full electronic version of book of Alisher Navoi “Garoyib us-sigar” in Chagtay language, as well as copies of photos and print editions of this work. These works were the first from four divans of Alisher Navoi and it has unique miniatures and calligraphy examples.

On 11 December, National Library of Uzbekistan organized a meeting to familiarize with the works and activity of the famous poet.
