Electricity Production in Uzbekistan Rises 3.1% in January–July 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January–July 2025, Uzbekistan produced 49.39 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, a 3.1% increase compared to the same period last year.
However, large enterprises reduced their electricity generation by 14.58%, producing 36.62 billion kilowatt-hours.
At the same time, small businesses generated 12.77 billion kilowatt-hours over the first seven months of 2025, 2.53 times higher than in the same period of 2024.
Meanwhile, heat energy production at large enterprises decreased: in January–July 2025, they produced 12.41 million gigacalories, 11.7% less than the same period of last year.
