Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the period from 2020 to 2030, Uzbekistan plans to build 35 HPPs with a total capacity of 1537 MW and modernize 27 existing HPPs with an increase in capacity by 186 MW.

By 2030, the total capacity of the country’s hydroelectric power plants will be 3,785 MW, the volume of generated electricity - 13.1 billion kW * h.

Thus, electricity generation in 2030 will increase by 2.2 times compared to 2019.
