Electricity Consumption Restrictions Introduced at Several Substations in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Regional Electric Networks have announced mandatory electricity consumption restrictions at a number of substations in Tashkent. The measure aims to prevent transformer overloads and avert large-scale failures in the power distribution system.

The total capacity of the restrictions amounts to 16 MW. Specifically, consumption has been reduced by 4 MW at each of the following substations:

Chilanzar – affecting consumers in the Chilanzar and Yakkasaray districts;

Kokand – impacting consumers in the Mirabad and Yakkasaray districts;

MJK – covering areas in the Mirabad and Yashnabad districts;

Risovaya – with restrictions affecting parts of the Mirabad and Yashnabad districts.

These measures are designed to stabilize the electrical load during periods of high temperatures and to maintain the reliability of the city’s power supply system.
