Electric train to run between Qoqand and Andijan

According to the UzA agency, the organization of train traffic between the cities was entrusted by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his visit to Ferghana region on 22-23 June.

On the route, there are stops in Baghdad and Altyaryk districts, Margilan, Kuva district and Asaka.

Trains will reach their destination 40 minutes faster than cars. Speed of movement reaches 120 km/h.

Uzbekiston Temir Yollari modernized five electric trains, each of which consists of six cars for the organization of traffic in this direction.

The company has updated the interior of the cars and installed air-conditioners. The company intends to purchase 10 more electric trains from abroad.
