Egyptian Strawberries to Soon Arrive on Uzbekistan’s Market
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Egyptian strawberries are set to appear soon on the Uzbek market, reports Sada El-Balad.
Tashkent and Cairo have already agreed on all product safety requirements, paving the way for imminent deliveries.
Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture, Alaa Farouk, emphasized that entering a new market reflects the high quality of domestic produce. In 2025, Egypt actively expanded its export geography, opening new routes to markets in Mexico and the Philippines.
Last year, the country set a historic record by exporting over 62,000 tons of strawberries.
Egyptian producers now aim to strengthen their presence in the Central Asian region, including Uzbekistan.
