EEC Minister Visits Border Checkpoints Between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of an official visit to Uzbekistan, Ruslan Davydov, Minister for Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), visited the Yallama automobile border checkpoint on the Uzbekistan–Kazakhstan section of the EAEU border, as well as the neighboring Kazakh checkpoint B. Konysbaev.
More than a thousand freight vehicles pass through these checkpoints daily. The minister reviewed the customs clearance technologies for goods and vehicles and studied the operation of software solutions and control systems at both checkpoints.
Particular attention was given to cargo flow scanning systems, which allow for faster customs procedures and enable systematic analysis of the large volumes of data collected at the checkpoints.
“Coordinated implementation of advanced digital solutions for customs control at the checkpoints of EAEU countries and neighboring states will create conditions for increasing throughput capacity and promoting foreign trade,” emphasized Ruslan Davydov.
In addition, the minister observed the pilot use of electronic navigation seals at the B. Konysbaev checkpoint in Kazakhstan. Full-scale use of these seals to track shipments across the EAEU is planned to begin on 11 February 2026.
