Educational-entertainment campaign Grow with English! takes place in Tashkent

The campaign was organized by the trade-entertainment complex Next, British Council in Uzbekistan, Republican Scientific-Practical Center for development of innovative methods of teaching English, UNICEF, the Uzbekistan-Japan Center, Macmillan Bookshop and British School in Tashkent.

The campaign was aimed at promoting studying of English among children at the age between 4 and 14 via various games and art, as well as share joy to children.

Within the campaign, children can participate in various games and lessons. The zones were divided into five groups on the age of the children.

The children produced various products, played games, football, word games, etc. Volunteers taught children to various English words. The children also had chance to play football and count in English.

The UNICEF desk was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the UN Convention on child rights. The children and their parents had chance to improve their knowledge on the convention via games and exhibition of photos.

The Uzbekistan-Japan Center offered origami lessons. All games and lessons were in English language and based on materials of the website learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org.
