Economy of Surkhandarya region grows by 9.8%

The region recorded growth of industrial production by 5.6%, agriculture output – 6.8%, construction works 17.3%, retail trade turnover – 14.5% and rendered services – 16.2%.

The volume of used investments rose by 16.7%, including foreign investments 12.6%.

Within the investment programme for 2016, Surkhandarya region realized 89 projects for 215 bilion soums, including 8 projects with foreign investments.

The enterprises of the region exported products and services for US$52.9 million in the past six months of 2016.
