Economy of Ferghana region grows by 8.4%

Industrial production of the region grew by 10.5% in January-June 2016, consumer goods production – 16.2%. construction materials – 19.7%, agriculture production – 6.3% and services – 14.2%.

Ferghana region’s enterprises produced goods and services for almost 100 countries for US$260.1 million in January-June 2016.

Within the program of socio-economic development of Fergana region for 2016, about 1,140 projects were implemented in the fields of industry, agriculture and services, which helped to create about 9000 new jobs.

The region’s 23 industrial enterprises realized 34 projects and territorial enterprises produced goods for 18.5 billion soums.
