Economic development is foundation for prosperity

The party also pays great attention to creation of favourable conditions for improving share of small businesses in industrial production, development of industrial cooperation between large industrial enterprises and small businesses.

In his speech at the celebration of the 22th anniversary of Constitution of Uzbekistan, President Islam Karimov underlined that Uzbekistan pays great attention to development of small and private entrepreneurship, using high technologic and modern objects in industry.

In the result of gradual implementation of industrial programmes on priority development industry, modernization and diversification, technical and technological modernization of production for 2011-2015, share of processing industry in production of competitive products.

In last three years, Uzbekistan increased production of localized goods twice. Last year, some 1,140 projects were realized at 455 enterprises within the localization programme. The volume of production increased 1.2 times and final result of import-replacement made up US$5.3 billion.

Currently, share of small and private businesses reached about 55.8% of GDP.

There are enterprises with foreign investments in Uzbekistan and created legislative system on providing preferences. The scale of attracting foreign investments is increasing in Uzbekistan. At the same time, local bodies should boost their activities on organization of enterprises with foreign investments and organize investment forums, as well as conduct information-explanation work on created preferences and conditions for them.

UzLiDeP believes that development of industry, diversified production of goods, improve export potential, modernize and re-equipment of production capacities.

At the same time, the party supports deep structural reforms directed at speeding u development of processing and high-technological enterprises and production in energy, oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, textile and light industry, metallurgy, machinery and automobile, construction materials industry, as well as launch of capacities on production of products from agriculture goods.
